Student Placement

With effect from the 2013 Secondary 3 cohort, upper secondary students would be placed in one of three learning clusters.

  • Students who perform well in the Secondary 2 examination would be promoted and continue with the Integrated Programme (IP).
  • Students who did not meet the promotion criteria, or have been identified to require more structure in their learning will be placed in a Structured IP (SIP) class. The SIP class(es) would be housed within each consortium.
  • Students who perform exceptionally well and wish to be challenged further may enroll in one of the Special Programmes (SP) in the Centre for Scholastic Excellence (CSE).

The table below shows the range of academic and non-exhaustive range of co-curricular activities for the holistic development of our students at the Upper Secondary level.
